19/12/2017 Jardin Japones, Palermo

It's raining today. We are heading to MALBA gallery, which is only 15 minutes walk from our accomodation. Unfortunately MALBA is closed on Tuesdays. Well, the rain is not so pleasant, so we don't want to go anywhere far and decided to visit Jardin Japones (Japanese Garden). The entrance is free for locals today, but for foreigners it's 95 pesos. We spent about an hour in the gardens, it was empty of people, nice and quiet. Had a coffee next to the ponds and went to find something to eat for lunch. 

Not wanting to spend a fortune for lunch, we were discovering what is on one of the streets nearby and found La Juvenil deli shop on Jerónimo Salguero street. Bought one Tortilla and some Dulce con Leche desert. 

In the afternoon, walking to Plaza Italia to a Claro shop to get mi SIM activated. Got lucky with the customer service representative, he could do a bit of English and activated my SIM and sold us second one for 10 pesos only. Then we walked to Honduras street, which is (and streets around) popular with pubs and restaurants. Found a pub called Madigan Bar, had happy hour two draught beers, each for 65 pesos, and two burgers, each for 140 pesos. No complaints, nice beer, nice burgers, although not as nice as in Honest Burgers in London. In the pub, they didn't speak English at all. And we couldn't pay with MasterCard. 


Then we walked to to La Choppers, on the corner of Gurruchanga and El Salvador, had two beers - 70 pesos each (Amber Lager and Honey Ale). The we took a taxi using BA Taxi app back to our accomodation. 2.4km, 81 pesos.

Day 45 We had every ready from the evening, so even we had to get up at 5:30am, it went well and at 6:10am we were already in Pucon Aventura office waiting for instructions.  For the volcano, we only needed to bring comfortable sports clothes, food and water.  Notes: Got there, came back, bus ticket check if we can change, coffee, hostel check if we can change, added one more night, went to change bus, waited for agency to open, full for the next day, cannot return money yet, another agency (Florencia), another agency Trancura holding places, still no money back, another agency Politur booked with deposit 70000 (price 100k pp including los pozones thermas), gift for Annie, kuchen through hostel owner, strawberries 1k per kg, smoothie with milk, went for money, paid the difference, dinner with Annie, La Manga.

8/1/2018 leaving Torres and back in Puerto Natales

The rain didn’t stop. And the rain didn’t stop until 2pm. We didn’t sleep, as Denisa discovered some sort of claustrophobic issue inside of the tent and woke up freaked out almost immediately after she felt asleep. Getting out and in to the tent while it was raining at night made our tent and thing more wet. Towards the morning, high condensation of humidity in our tent started making our sleeping bags wet too. One the rain slowed down, we got up and tried to cook porridge. The water from the camp was dirty (apparently drinkable), but the boiling didn’t make it less dirty and anyway, it just started raining more heavy again.  Fed up, throwing the cooking gear next to the tent and going to the central building to cover and have breakfast there. Two coffees and two muffins 8000 pesos quite expensive, but doesn’t matter. We waited here until 12:30 and then went back to pack our tent and things.
